Nirmal Purja, aka Nimsdai, has gained a mass global following through his seemingly impossible feat in mountaineering. The fearless man who boasted his bravery with the words – “Giving up is not in the blood”, has made a remarkable personal brand out of himself. Biswas Dhakal
Biswas Dhakal is a Tech Entrepreneur known as the founder of F1Soft International Pvt. Ltd. His entrepreneurship journey began as a college freshman in 2004 when he started F1 Soft. Dhakal’s major success came after giving rise to Fintech products like eSewa and Fonepay. F1 Soft’s fintech products currently serve more than 90% of financial institutions in Nepal and connect millions of the country’s people. Recognizing his achievements, Bishwah Dhakal has been named one of the world’s top 100 tech changemakers by Rest of World.
Swapnil Sharma
Swapnil Sharma is a Nepali singer-songwriter turned entrepreneur, best known as the frontman of The Shadows Nepal. He later extended his portfolio to the education industry by starting an education consultancy, EduQuest Nepal. Additionally, he is also the CEO of Sangeet Pathsala and Director at Fuzz Studio.
Nikita Acharya
Nikita Acharya, the only female on the list, is an utter inspiration to the youths of Nepal. She co-founded the country’s first female-centric e-commerce platform, Urban Girl, at the age of 19 in 2012. UG started by offering fashion jewelry and customized accessories, and later expanded to cosmetics, home decor, and electronics. She later co-founded the first online bakery in Nepal known as UG Cakes which also won ‘The Best Startup of 2017’ from New Business Age. Her latest entrepreneurial milestone is the e-commerce platform UG Bazaar which she co-founded during the covid pandemic in 2020. Recognizing her accomplishments, Forbes magazine listed Miss Acharya as a bright young entrepreneur in 30 Under 30 – Asia – Retail & eCommerce (2020).
Basanta Lama
Basanta Lama is the co-founder at The Burger House & Crunchy Fried Chicken. He turned the fast-food chain into a prolific brand with his top-notch entrepreneurial skills. What was once a struggling fast food outlet in the busy streets of Sankhamul is now the largest fast-food chain in Nepal. With the franchise model in play, The Burger House & Crunchy Fried Chicken has expanded to 80 outlets throughout Nepal.
